Accessibility

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 require that Indiana Tech ensure that its programs, services, goods and facilities are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Indiana Tech, in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, does not discriminate on the basis of disability in administration of its education-related programs and activities, and has an institutional commitment to provide equal educational opportunities for disabled students who are otherwise qualified.

For information concerning policies and procedures for students with disabilities, please refer to services provided by the Office of Student Success, which helps those students with disabilities achieve academic success as a student of Indiana Tech. They are located in Andorfer Commons, 2nd Floor on Indiana Tech’s Fort Wayne campus.

Website accessibility

Indiana Tech is committed to making its websites and other electronic information and services accessible to all, regardless of disability. There are three simple reasons for doing this:

  • It’s the right thing to do.
  • It’s the smart thing to do.
  • It’s the law.

The University website is continually undergoing improvements so that it is not only accessible to all 访问ors, but also provides a positive user-experience on different devices such as personal PCs, tablets, and smartphones. The Indiana Tech website has been optimized for viewing on supported browsers, therefore if older or unsupported browsers are used to view www.smsrespond.com, the website may not function and display correctly.

Websites in the University’s web space that are personal or relating to other groups, such as student clubs or blogs, for which the University does not control content do not fall under the University’s legal mandate to make its websites accessible. 仍然, University employees and other groups using the University’s web space are strongly encouraged to make their sites accessible.
